SportTech 2017: Panel session to examine impact of social media and OTT on content creation

Leading figures from the worlds of broadcast production and content creation will gather at SportTech in London on 7 June to examine the present and future of social media and OTT. ‘Sports Production Goes Social: How Social Media and OTT are Changing Content Creation’ will be sponsored by Blackmagic Design and moderated by Sports Video Group Editorial Director Ken Kerschbaumer.

The core production team for an event is increasingly being complemented by social media teams and those involved in OTT services who want to create complementary content that can drive viewership, keep viewers engaged 24/7 and even offer some monetisation opportunities. In this panel session, experts in the field discuss how their organisations are tackling this ever-changing landscape.

Participants will include: Michael Antwi, Perform, Social Media Manager for DAZN; David Gibbs, Sky Sports and Sky News, Digital Director; Matt Heiman, Diagonal View, CEO and Founder; Nick Wilson, WME|IMG, Chief Technology Officer; and Felix Willikonsky, Perform, Social Media Manager, DAZN.

The session is sponsored by Blackmagic Design and will be introduced by Luke Marler-Hausen, AV and Live Business Development Manager.
