SportTech 2019: Social media highlights and clipping to be addressed in ‘Perfecting Your Short Game’ masterclass

Speakers from Sky Sports, Canal Plus, ITN Productions and Input Media will take part in a masterclass session at next month’s SportTech 2019 (22 May, Lord’s) that will focus on creating and distributing sports highlights and clips for social media and the web.

In ‘Perfecting Your Short Game’, a panel will consider different platforms, sports and audiences as they outline the various editorial, workflow, personnel and technology options, discuss the bottlenecks and challenges, and provide insight into how best to get content online at speed.

The confirmed speakers are:

  • Scott Miles, Sky Sports, Content Distribution Manager
  • Bevan Gibson, ITN Productions, CTO
  • Daniel Hart, Input Media, Senior Producer
  • Sebastien Audoux, Head of Sports, Canal OTT

‘Perfecting Your Short Game: A sports clipping and highlights creation masterclass’ is sponsored by Wildmoka, the cloud video editing platform.

Wildmoka will be used for live clipping during the session, capturing and distributing highlights of the on-stage discussion and making them available on digital platforms for both delegates and non-delegates to view.

‘Perfecting Your Short Game…’ is part of a packed SportTech 2019 programme that also includes sessions on successful live streaming, launching an OTT service and targeting a new generation of sports viewer.

Other highlights are a preview of how the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup will be covered on TV and online, an SVG Europe Women’s networking event and a ‘Carbon Literacy for Sports Production’ workshop.

As with all SVG Europe events, there will be plenty of networking opportunities throughout SportTech 2019 and delegates will also get the chance to take part in a guided tour of Lord’s.

SportTech 2019, sponsored by SeaChange, will take place on Wednesday 22 May at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. To find out more and to register, visit https://www.svgeurope.org/sport-tech-2019/
