SportTech Europe 2015: Calrec’s Warrington, Studer’s Glaettli to discuss audio workflow evolution

Delivering more features in smaller form-factors has been the overriding theme of audio consoles for broadcast in recent years – but what are likely to be the design drivers of the next generation of high-spec desks? This will be among the crucial questions to be addressed during the ‘Audio Consoles and the Evolution of OB Facility Design’ panel taking place at SVG Europe’s SportTech Europe 2015 event in Manchester on 6-7 May.

Joining moderator, SVG Europe managing editor David Davies, will be Studer sales director Europe Peter Glaettli and Calrec technical director Patrick Warrington, with further names to be released soon.

In addition to console design, panellists will also consider the general evolution of audio technology in studios and OB facilities, and the ways in which it is integrated with other systems. The rise of IP-based operation and its scope for revolutionising workflows will also come under the microscope.
