Stage Tec joins AIMS Alliance

Stage Tec is the latest company to confirm its membership of the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS). AIMS is a non-profit trade association, founded in 2015 by broadcasters, organisations and technology providers in the broadcasting and media sectors. Members are promoting open standards which enable migration from SDI to IP solutions.

“One of the biggest challenges facing our industry today is the switch to IP-based technical production solutions,” explains René Harder, Executive Board member. “Open standards facilitate this change and give our customers the confidence to invest in systems which are interoperable and meet their needs.”

AIMS promotes the introduction, development and standardisation of open protocols focusing on SMPTE 2110 and AES67. Stage Tec has become a member of AIMS in order to help the broadcasting industry develop and establish open standards.

“Our membership shows our customers that in the long run we work on a common basis. Open standards ensure that Stage Tec products fit seamlessly into our customers’ workflows,” adds Alexander Nemes, who is responsible for sales at Stage Tec.
