Sunset+Vine retains BBC Sport production deal for World Indoor Bowls

Sunset+Vine will continue to produce live coverage of the World Indoor Professional Bowls Championships for BBC Sport after winning a three-year contract.

The new deal, which also includes highlights production, lasts until 2021. The production will once again be run out of Sunset+Vine’s Glasgow office.

The sports production company worked on the last three World Championships for the BBC and has been providing coverage of the sport since 2003.

Our solid past experience and proven editorial judgement, combined with quality match coverage and entertaining and informative features result in an energetic feel to our shows. Our hugely experienced Sunset+Vine Scotland production team is dedicated to finding new ways to broaden the appeal of bowls whilst respecting the core audience.”

Sunset+Vine has worked with the World Bowls Tour for the last 15 years, providing coverage for the BBC. During that time it has covered two Commonwealth Games Lawn Bowls tournaments.

The World Indoor Professional Bowls Championships will be hosted at the Potters Resort in Hopton-on-Sea.

Coverage begins on BBC TV, Red Button and online from 21 January 2019.
