Sunset+Vine wins BT Sport UEFA Europa League production contract from 2015/16
Sunset+Vine has been awarded the production contract for BT Sport’s UEFA Europa League rights from the 2015/2016 season. The deal will see S+V deliver a mix of host broadcast and support programming, covering the competition from group stages to the final, which is scheduled to take place May 2016 at the St. Jakob-Park stadium in Basel, Switzerland.
Since the original production contract began in 2013, which centred on BT Sport’s rights for the 38 live Barclays Premier League matches, 69 live AVIVA Premiership rugby union matches and other sports programming, Sunset+Vine has been awarded BT Sport’s production of the European Champions Cup and Challenge Cup in rugby.
Jeff Foulser, chair of Sunset+Vine, commented: “We are delighted to have been awarded this fantastic production contract by BT Sport to produce its UEFA Europa League requirements. It comes on the back of a hugely successful first 18 months partnership with the channel which has already seen the scope of our work grow significantly.
“We continue to be BT Sports primary production partner and we’re very proud to be playing a part in the continuing success of their channels.”
