Suora benefits from new ideas with SVG Europe Gold sponsorship renewal

Suora Broadcast, a technical production company specialising in demanding live productions and a leading provider of multi-camera sports productions in Finland, has returned as a Gold sponsor of SVG Europe.

The company is best known for its work on live sports. It handles more than 2,000 live broadcasts each year, including the Finnish Hockey League, national team ice hockey, CHL, horse racing and national team basketball. Customers include MTV, C More, Telia, Veikkaus, Sanoma Finland, Warner Bros. Discovery and many more.

In 2021, Suora achieved its most important climate goal – completely carbon-neutral production. However, it believes corporate responsibility is much more than environmental responsibility and the company aims to be a pioneer in responsible business. To achieve this, throughout its operations, environment, economy and people are taken into account equally, and the same is expected from partners. Suora also strives for sustainable growth and emphasises employee wellbeing, gender equality and the reduction of inequality.

Looking to the future and Suora is set to move into brand-new premises by the end of this year. The production technology will be IP-based (ST2210) and it will also mean more studio space. In addition, the premises are being built with a focus on sustainability.

Johanna Koskela, CEO at Suora Broadcast, said: “SVG Europe is a good forum to share the latest information about the sports broadcasting industry. That is why we are happy to participate in the future, we feel that meeting with other members, as well as various use cases from sports productions, have also brought new ideas to our thinking.”

“For our part, we hope to be an example for the broadcasting business in sustainable productions. Later this year, we are moving to new, BREEAM-certified premises, which will reduce our carbon footprint even more.”
