SVG Europe announces return to in-person events with Back in the Game conference and networking afternoon

SVG Europe is thrilled to announce its first in-person event for 18 months. Back in the Game, sponsored by MediaKind, will take place at Kings Place in London on the afternoon of Wednesday 28 July, featuring a series of fireside chats and the opportunity to network.

Beginning at 16:00, Back in the Game will welcome key figures from this year’s summer of sport, sharing their insights, experiences and challenges. The afternoon will also include the unveiling of the shortlist for SVG Europe’s Sports TV Awards 2021.

Attendees will then have the opportunity to move to the spacious Battlebridge Room, complete with covered terrace overlooking the Regent’s Canal, for networking from 18:00.

“Our goal is to embrace local and national guidelines to do as much as we can, as safely as we can, and as responsibly as we can.”

It will be possible to register to enjoy both parts of the day or come for either the conference or networking only.

Ken Kerschbaumer, editorial director at SVG, said: “We are looking forward to taking this step on the road to getting back to larger in-person events which have been the core of our global activities. Our goal is to embrace local and national guidelines to do as much as we can, as safely as we can, and as responsibly as we can.”

Alessandro Reitano, Sky Deutschland senior vice president of sports production and chair of SVG Europe, added: “After a long time seeing us all on virtual meetings, I’m very pleased that we can finally find a personal exchange again with this SVG Europe in-person event.”
