Shure’s Martin Brock, senior manager for spectrum and regulatory affairs, is joining the panel for SVG Europe’s The State of Wireless Mics Forum. The event is taking place live online at 3pm (BST UK time) on 4 June.
Shure is contributing sponsor for the event. Brock will be joined by chair, Roger Charlesworth, and speakers Jackie Green, director at Nexonic Design, Gary Trenda, RF applications engineer at Sound Devices, Jonny McClintock, AntennaWare’s commercial director, and Alex Lepges, technical director for EMEA at Audio-Technica.
The discussion will focus on the full gamut of wireless mic technology, from spectrum and the issues it is creating for live sports broadcasting audio, to the technologies working to push boundaries forwards in this area of sound.
Stuart Moots, Shure UK director of market development for the UK and Ireland, commented: “We’re excited to be part of this important conversation. As wireless microphone technology continues to evolve, it opens up incredible opportunities for sports broadcasters to deliver more immersive and emotionally engaging experiences. Navigating the challenges of RF spectrum allocation demands collaboration, innovation, and deep technical insight, and this event is the perfect platform to explore those future-shaping discussions.”
The ability to exploit these technological innovations while staying within the boundaries of shifting radio frequency allocations requires strategy, teamwork and clever network integration from broadcasters and manufacturers alike – and RF spectrum issues on both sides of the Atlantic means everyone must work together to stay ahead. The discussion is set to be interesting!
