SVG Europe confirms four new Gold sponsors

In the space of little more than a week, SVG Europe has secured three new Gold Sponsors – namely Ericsson, Globecast, Orad and Quantum – in developments that further underline its status as Europe’s fastest-growing community association, news source and conference producer for sports broadcast professionals.

A mainstay of the communications world, Ericsson is focused on driving the TV experience across the entire TV and video value chain. It helps broadcasters, content owners and TV service provides to maximise content and consumer value by efficiently utilising multi-platform infrastructure and ecosystems to deliver rich, blended multi-screen consumer experiences on all screens and devices.

Based in France but with locations worldwide, Globecast pursues a mission statement of opening up global opportunities in broadcasting by making content distribution and management simple. Among many different project types, its crews and equipment have been used to deliver broadcast coverage of numerous major sporting events, including the UEFA Champions League and World Superbikes.

Orad is a leading provider of real-time 3D broadcast graphic, video server solutions and media asset management  including news, channel branding, sports production and enhancement, elections and special events, virtual studios and virtual advertisements.

Quantum, meanwhile, is focused on helping cutomers better manage, protect, archive and monetise their organisation’s value data. To this end, the company provides a combination of specialised storage solutions including virtual and physical server data protection, cloud backup and recovery, tiered storage, object storage and big data management.

Welcoming the new sponsors, SVG Europe general manager Joe Hosken remarks that “we continue to grow in size and influence in Europe, and are delighted that Ercisson, Globecast, Orad and Quantum are joining a fast-growing association. Our role representing the sports broadcast community continues to evolve, and the next few months – which will bring forth a cluster of SVGE conference events, including Sport Production Summit on the day before IBC – look set to be hugely rewarding and exciting for all concerned.”
