Save the date: SVG Europe Football Production Summit to be held in Paris on 29 Feb

SVG Europe is pleased to announce that its first Football Production Summit will be held in Paris on 29 Feb, 2012. We will be unveiling the full venue and programme details next week, but suffice it to say that the Summit’s in-depth examination of everything from the plans for Euro 2012 through the ways that football clubs can monetise their archives, and on to an examination of 3D, 4k and beyond, will make it both compelling and essential.

If there is one common thread that stretches across the whole of Europe, it is football. Amidst a myriad of cultures, sports and languages, football unites the continent, driving revenues for broadcasters and the whole sports video production community as it does. It is in the football stadiums of Europe that new technology is pioneered, standards are decided, and the techniques that underpin sports broadcasting are refined to perfection.

On February 29th, and with Euro 2012 just around the corner, broadcasting professionals, clubs and federations from across Europe will gather in Paris to examine the issues surrounding football broadcast production across the continent. Featuring an in-depth look at the planning of Euro 2012, from both a broadcast and stadia viewpoint, the SVG Europe Football Production Summit will also examine the state-of-the-art of 3D production, the importance of monetising assets via Media Asset Management, ways of engaging the fan via the second screen, the growing importance of data online and on-screen, and much more.
