SVG Europe FutureSport 2014: Calrec, Clear-Com, Telos Alliance to discuss the audio-over-IP revolution

Technological convergence is the name of the game, and for broadcast sound this spells more powerful networks and heightened versatility resulting from audio-over-IP technologies. The topic will be at the heart of a panel debate set to take place during SVG Europe’s FutureSport summit at Lord’s Cricket Ground, London, on 2 December.

The fact that an audio-over-IP revolution is taking place is beyond doubt, but with no shortage of available solutions, where should broadcasters and OB providers begin? In this half-hour session, leading audio manufacturers will discuss (quite literally) the ins and outs of AoIP, and outline some of its specific benefits for sports production workflows.

Moderator David Davies (SVG Europe managing editor) will be joined by Calrec sales & marketing director Henry Goodman, Clear-Com product marketing manager Vinnie Macri and Telos Alliance director of technology Greg Shay, with further panellists to be announced shortly.
