SVG Europe members can benefit from complimentary access to two MESA Europe events

The Media Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) is offering SVG Europe members the opportunity to attend its Cloud Solutions Workshop and Smart Content Summit taking place in London on 19 and 20 May, respectively. Both events will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Southampton Row, London.

The Cloud Solutions Workshop will address issues encompassing workflows, asset management, security and storage. The workshop format, says MESA, provides a platform for content owners and distributors, together with their suppliers, to share experiences, raise concerns and frustrations, and highlight areas where industry efficiencies may be gained.

Speakers are set to include Rob Pinninger (Virgin Media), Jade McQueen (Box), Patrick Sumby (Sohone) and Benjamin Shrive (Softlayer Technologies UK).

The following day, the Smart Content Summit will focus entirely on the emerging technologies, systems and processes that will prove so vital to the revenue generation and asset management capabilities of the entertainment industry. The challenges of ensuring effective and extensive metadata, as well as the broader issue of monetisation will be among the feature topics.

Session participants will include Paul Preuveneers (MarkLogic), Jon Folland (NATIV), Charles Dawes (Rovi Europe), among others.
