SVG Europe team prepares its strongest ever calendar of events for 2016
For 2016 we are lining up our strongest and most ambitious set of events to date, as the organisation matures and strengthens in the European market. In February we open with our Sports Venue Technology Summit @ ISE 2016 in the RAI. SVG Europe, in conjunction with RH Consulting, explores a day in the life of the contemporary connected stadium. Football Production Summit follows on 23 March at Stade de France in Paris. This is a unique forum for broadcasters, OB providers, federations, leagues and clubs to learn about Euro 2016 preparations and to explore match-day acquisition, OB production, pitch-side innovation and studio content presentation.
Scheduled ahead of the NAB 2016 Show, the Chairman’s Forum at the Red Rock Hotel offers extensive conference, networking and golfing activities across a weekend that provides an ideal entry point to a productive week on the show floor. Then, on 17 April in Las Vegas, The Pre-Game Party provides a special opportunity to network with colleagues from across the globe over cocktails and nibbles before the NAB exhibition gets underway the following day.
SVG Europe heads to the Aviva Stadium in Dublin for a special SportTech Europe 2016 summit on May 18, focussed on the major topics around live sports graphics, augmented reality graphics, VR, player tracking, interactive graphics, show-open designs, virtual studios and more.
We look forward to SVG Italia Champions’ Summit on 26 May: this regional business, technology and networking event will take place in the week of the 2016 UEFA Champions League Final in Milan.
Sport Production Summit at NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky 8 September is SVG’s flagship European event, providing insight and reflection on host broadcast and unilateral first-screen and second-screen case studies from the major sports events taking place in the summer of 2016, ahead of the IBC show.
Then, at the RAI on 10 September, we host Sport Production Awards at IBC. This is an opportunity for SVG Europe to honour key examples of outstanding production and technical achievements in the field of broadcast sports in 2016.
FutureSport is SVG Europe’s premier forward-looking event, taking place 30 November at Chelsea Football Club in London. FutureSport looks to the emerging technologies that are being adopted by the sports broadcast production community – or still just a little way off.
