SVG Europe welcomes Camera Corps as new Gold Sponsor

The second in a series of sponsorship announcements to be made in the wake of the NAB Show 2014 sees Vitec Group Camera Corps – which specialises in providing cutting edge remote camera solutions for large scale sports and entertainment events, and reality TV shows – confirm its new status as a Gold Sponsor of SVG Europe.

Camera Corps has achieved a pre-eminent reputation for its ability to acquire exciting and unusual television content from challenging environments – delivering the shots producers and viewers demand.

Camera Corps equipment encompasses compact and full-size motorised pan/tilt heads and an array of specialised remote-control cameras, underwater systems, cranes, platforms and dollies, as well as the Q-Ball integrated pan/tilt/zoom/focus camera and its latest version, the Q3, along with bespoke-build field-of-play cameras.

Following the March 2014 acquisition of the Special Cameras division of SIS LIVE (formerly BBC), the Camera Corps inventory now includes world-leading cameras for onboard mobile applications, water-sport systems such as the Halibut, Plunge Cam and Turn Cam, the globally acclaimed Stump Cam, and a wide range of miniature devices such as wearable cameras with the latest high-performance RF video links.

Explaining the decision to join the prestigious roll-call of SVGE sponsors, Camera Corps head of business development Shaun Glanville comments: “We see the Sports Video Group as a key influential group addressing the skills gap which faces the next generation of content producers, technicians and broadcasters. SVG also recognises that this industry is about people sharing ideas and building relationships. Its events provide a unique platform where we can network with our colleagues and clients at the cutting edge of the broadcast production business and discuss the real issues and challenges that face us all. It is an invaluable forum.”
