Cordell, Cumpsty and Newson will work alongside editorial director Fergal Ringrose and editors Heather McLean and Will Strauss producing SVG Europe’s four pillar events – Football Summit in February, SportTech in May, Sport Production Summit in September and FutureSport each November.

SVG Europe is growing rapidly and thanks to the support of 130 sponsors publishes news, features and other digital content online and produces dedicated live events.

James Cordell is a recent graduate from the University of Westminster and an RTS Bursary Alumni. He is currently a digital assistant at the Royal Television Society. James is an event producer and former honorary secretary for the Royal Television Society’s London regional centre.

James Cumpsty, SVG Europe, photographer-videographer

James Cumpsty has been a professional photographer since 1989. He cut his teeth running a busy studio and shooting location editorial for seven music magazine titles, and is till to be found on stage at soundchecks/gigs and in plush recording studios – wherever the story unfolds for an artist at the time.

In 2006 he could see where marketing and editorial content was going and got back to his first love of moving images (having landed his first job in a small TV studio). His productions range from multi-cam concerts at the o2 to running video teams at European trade shows and planning major campaigns for clients in Japan and the US.

Veronica Newson is a marketing services practitioner, with over 20 years experience in marketing and communication strategies, media and public relations, organising and delivering bespoke events, launching new products and evolving brand development.

She works in both B2B and B2C arenas in sectors including: broadcast, technology, social and traditional media, not for profit, automotive and luxury goods and services. Most recently she joined the Sports Video Group Europe team as event content manager liaising with speakers and their teams, on content and media contributions as well as providing AV services onsite.

Newson also develops products for IBC.org, an annual/global convention held in Amsterdam for 55,000+ visitors, covering broadcast technology, telco, media and entertainment sectors. She manages the keynote programme, speaker acquisition and delivery of onsite experience for C-Level contributors and VIP visitors.

She launched a c-level Leadership Forum framing the programme and acquiring speakers. She manages key account relationships for IBC with the City of Amsterdam and others.
