SVG Europe welcomes Mavis Broadcast as a Bronze sponsor

Mavis Live was recently in action at the European Athletics Indoor Championship

Mavis Broadcast, best known for its Mavis Live cloud-based platform designed specifically for live video production, has joined SVG Europe as a Bronze sponsor.

The Mavis Live platform virtualises the live workflow in the cloud and the full broadcast feature set is available as standard; vision mixing, sound desk, DVE, VT, graphics integration, instant replay and talk back. The cloud-based nature of the platform also means that remote production can be realised as members of the production team can be geographically dispersed.

It is able to ingest feeds which are in the cloud already, or it can use our own ultra-low-latency encoding protocol, MLSP (MAVIS Live Streaming Platform). MLSP is able to give latency of between 6 and 7 frames from glass to glass. The capability to cater for interlaced and progressive workflows is also inherent in the platform.

Mavis Live was recently used on the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2021 in Poland. Mavis worked with host broadcaster Eurovision Sport to implement the new system, enabling broadcast rights holders to tailor and differentiate their live output.

Patrick Holroyd, CEO at Mavis Broadcast, said: “It’s an exciting time in the broadcast industry; we see real transformation and change on the horizon enabled by the power of the cloud.

“We are delighted to be sponsoring SVG Europe and are looking forward to using the platform to demonstrate the power and application of Mavis Live for the sport industry and beyond.”
