SVG Europe welcomes multiple new sponsors

In the wake of a hugely successful NAB Show, SVG Europe has confirmed that mobile and fixed communication services specialist Airbus Defence and Space and remote camera solutions developer Camera Corps have joined the trade association, content creator and events producer as Gold Sponsors.

Joining through its French office, Airbus Defence and Space works with a broad range of satellite network operators to offer a full portfolio of mobile and fixed communication services. The company has a long track record in designing and delivering innovative global satcom solutions to customers at sea, on land and in flight.

Explaining the company’s decision to join the SVG Europe community, Rhys Morgan, head of sports & cultural events for Airbus Defence and Space – Satellite Communications, comments: “We want to network with partners and peers across the sports community. SVG Europe provides a good opportunity for us to regularly meet and exchange ideas in the wider community. Equally, we need to stay relevant to the market, and the access to new ideas, methods and technologies that we’ll get through the group will be invaluable.”

Camera Corps equipment encompasses compact and full-size motorised pan/tilt heads and an array of specialised remote-control cameras, underwater systems, cranes, platforms and dollies, as well as the Q-Ball integrated pan/tilt/zoom/focus camera and its latest version, the Q3, along with bespoke-build field-of-play cameras.

Camera Corps head of business development Shaun Glanville remarks: “We see the Sports Video Group as a key influential group addressing the skills gap which faces the next generation of content producers, technicians and broadcasters. SVG also recognises that this industry is about people sharing ideas and building relationships. Its events provide a unique platform where we can network with our colleagues and clients at the cutting edge of the broadcast production business and discuss the real issues and challenges that face us all. It is an invaluable forum.”
