SVG Europe welcomes new OB/SI category sponsor, Trimaran

The latest addition to the prestigious SVG Europe OB/SI category sponsorship roster is Trimaran, a leading French provider of CGI, 3D and visual effects for television and sport.

The company has developed an innovative GPS tracking and virtual visualization system for outdoor sports named GeoRacing, able to manage live GPS data and produce virtual timing, speed information, distances, heading, wind direction and many others statistics.

Currently, the only solution on the market that relies on different tracking systems, such as satellite, GPRS and RF, to enhance media coverage of any type of sport, whether at sea, on land, or in the air.

The solution includes a 2D offering, available on the web and on apps for tablets and smartphones, and a 3D solution that is capable of producing a video stream produced from Trimaran’s control room located in Paris, or on the spot for an event with live broadcasting video facilities.

The system can be customised to fit a broadcaster’s specific needs, enabling users to address multiple types of sports (e.g. sailing, rally, cycling, sailplane, gliding, jet ski, powerboat) and device types (e.g. TVs, PCs, tablets and smartphones), including iOS and Android platforms. No dedicated software or plug-ins are needed. The multiscreen system works via simple Internet connection on any device.

GeoRacing offers turnkey solutions for TV channels, event organisers, clubs, teams or sponsors, tailored to their specific needs, and has already been successfully used during competitions such as the WRC Rally de France, The Tour de France à la Voile, The FAI Sailplane Grand Prix Final or The Bullitt GC32 Racing Tour.
