SVG Europe Women Scotland is excited to announce its fifth Scottish event with ‘The Power of Legacy’, produced once again in partnership with QTV.
Taking place at The Exchange in Glasgow on 10 March 2026, our panels will delve into legacy programmes within the sports broadcasting industry.

It is not accidental; legacy is designed, delivered, and sustained through collaboration across organisers, broadcasters, freelancers, and suppliers. Our speakers will look at what ‘legacy’ truly means for a world event in sports broadcasting, from how it is built to how it endures, and how Scotland can harness this moment to strengthen pathways for women in technical roles for years to come and turn an opportunity into economic growth.

Doors will open at 6pm at The Exchange [29 Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow G1 3AJ] for networking, food and drinks. The first panel takes the stage at 7pm with ‘Why legacy matters in world stage events’, where speakers will discusswhat broadcast legacy means beyond infrastructure and short term jobs into how the stakeholders of a sporting event can contribute to long-term capability, innovation, and talent development.
This will be followed by a fireside chat with Carla Maroussas, Rise Mentoring Manager, on how organisations such as Rise can integrate legacy programmes with their day-to-day objectives.
Finally, in ‘Scotland’s legacy going forwards’, panellists will talk about what happens next for legacy pathways to continue once the spotlight on a major sporting event has faded, delving into the long term economic goals for Scotland, and how the country can sustain talent and industry opportunities.
Guests will then be able to enjoy networking until doors close at 11pm.
