SVG Europe Women Scotland: More speakers announced for Glasgow event

More speakers have been added to the line-up for SVG Europe Women Scotland – Innovation and Accessibility taking place at 18:00 on Tuesday 25 February at The Exchange in Glasgow.

Jo Finon, Sky Sports, manager for Responsible Production; Amelia Knott, TV Industry Human Rights Forum lead researcher; and Lucy Lake, QTV director of People & Purpose, will take part in a panel entitled ‘Why, what and how: Making sports production sustainably accessible.’ They will discuss how the barriers around accessibility in the industry can be raised sustainably using technology and innovation.

In addition, Anne-Louise Buick, Rise Board Member, will join Purminder Gandhu, BBC R&D Edge Group Lead, technology transfer & partnerships manager; Charlotte Winter, IMG Studios head of live technology; and Morag McIntosh, BBC solution lead for studio automation and gallery control, for a discussion entitled ‘Tech dichotomy: Creating accessibility or shifting the problem?’. While technology is liberating some areas of the industry for people, it is also creating barriers in places where they did not previously exist before. This panel will ask whether the problem of inclusion and accessibility has simply been shifted to a different front.

The event will also include questions from the audience and plenty of time to grab a drink and network. All genders are welcome to attend.
