Join SVG Europe Women in Amsterdam on Saturday 12 September at ‘Women behind the lens: Becoming a great sports broadcasting leader’.
This panel and workshop session will take place from 4pm to 6pm at the First Floor Restaurant in the Rai during IBC 2026.
The event will begin with an introduction from NEP’s Bryn Shamey, VP of strategic accounts.
This will be followed by a panel exploring leadership. Karen Mullins, Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) director of production management, will join IMG’s Charlotte Winter, senior director of technical production for studios, and Armelle Canet, HBS’ head of legacy and the Broadcast Academy, with chair, head of SVG Europe Women, Heather McLean.

Our panel will discuss all aspects of leadership, from pathways to higher roles in sports broadcasting, identifying and adapting your leadership style, communication for confidence, learning from challenges and failures, to balance, boundaries and burnout.
Following the panel, our experts will be available for separate conversations and questions from attendees in an informal workshop environment, before all can relax for networking and drinks.
