SVG Europe’s FutureSport draws record crowd to Chelsea FC

More than 300 people registered to attend the 2016 edition of FutureSport in London Wednesday, making it the largest conference event in SVG Europe history. Andy Beale from BT Sport, Dominic Baillie from Discovery, and Nicolas Déal from UEFA were among the 40-plus panellists contributing to a packed programme of panel sessions and presentations.

Wireless cameras, OTT production and delivery, and IP-based operation were among the technological innovations covered, while the Olympic Games and the NFL were some of the sporting events and organisations to receive specific attention.

The total attendance at the venue of just under 300 made this SVG Europe’s biggest event in the UK to date, and its second largest summit in Europe after the Sport Production Summit at IBC.

“We are delighted by the response to the programme for this year’s FutureSport, and enjoyed a busy day of conversation and insight about some of the key ‘hot button’ industry topics. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank title sponsor Tata Communications, and event sponsors AJA Video Systems, Avid, Grass Valley, Imagen, NewTek and Quantum for making it all possible,” said SVG Europe Managing Editor David Davies.
