SVG moderating two panels at SPORTELRio 2013

Sports Video Group executive director Ken Kerschbaumer is set to moderate two conference panel sessions at the next SPORTEL event in Rio de Janeiro, which is scheduled to take place from 11-13 March.

Both sessions helmed by Kerschbaumer will take place in the Flamengo Room, Level E, on Tuesday 12 March, beginning with ‘TV Anywhere: Trends, Tips and Technologies to Offer the Best Experience Possible’ (11.00-11.45). The concept of ‘TV Anywhere’ continues to gain traction among rights holders and distributors, but there are plenty of options for the delivery of sports content. Richard Craig McFeely (Tata Communications), Jonathan Wilner (Ooyala), Werner Michels (Terra) and Keith Wymbs (Elemental) will discuss the current state of the ‘TV Anywhere’ movement, and offer tips on developing a rights and distribution strategy and what technologies can help ensure you make all the right moves.

Later the same day, ‘The Brazilian Sports TV Market: Beyond the World Cup and Olympics’ (16.00-16.45) will acknowledge the fact that for the next four years the world’s perception of Brazilian sport will be greatly influenced by the World Cup and Olympics. But with Brazil’s sports industry continung to evolve beyond those two events, Raul Costa Junior (Rede Globo), German Hartenstein (ESPN Brazil) and Alex Pimentel (Casablanca Online) will share their thoughts on how the sports market is changing and muse on opportunities for up-and-coming sports federations.
