SVG women’s initiative supporting Females in the Broadcast Industry lunch at IBC
Incorporating a panel and networking lunch, this new event for IBC 2014 is sponsored by Ross Video and supported by IBC, SVG’s Women in Sports Media Initiative (WISMI), Women in Film & TV and leading industry PR firm Bubble & Squeak.
Taking place in Room D201 (second floor of the Elysium Suites in Hall 14) of the IBC from 12:30 to 14:30 on Saturday 13 September, the event will bring together women and associations from across the industry to participate in a lively panel discussion and networking lunch.
Topics to be covered will include: what is your company and the industry doing to attract women to the industry – and is it enough? How do we educate the next generation of women for non-traditional female roles?
There will also be the opportunity to offer input as to the structure of future Females in the Broadcast Industry lunches – the plan being to hold them at all of the major annual trade shows in the future.
Panellists who will take part in the IBC event include: Sadie Groom (MD, Bubble & Squeak), Lesley Johnson (operations director, BBC Worldwide), Laura Thommen (VP enterprise sales, MelroseTec), Nicki Fisher (sales director EMEA, Clear-Com) and Carrie Wootten (head of commercial development, Ravensbourne).
Details of other panellists will follow soon, but if you would like to be one please contact Sadie Groom: [email protected].
The event is open to men and women attending the IBC exhibition. To register, please visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/females-in-the-broadcast-industry-panel-and-networking-lunch-tickets-12918267887.
