SVGE Sport Production Summit: Coxon, Lane to preview Ryder Cup 2014

The Ryder Cup is one of the biggest and greatest sporting events in the world, avidly followed on both side of the Atlantic every two years. It is, therefore, an ideal case study subject for September’s Sport Production Summit – the latest event on SVG Europe’s busy 2014 technology conference schedule.

Mere weeks after the summit, which is taking place in Amsterdam on 11 September, the 2014 Ryder Cup will tee off at Gleneagles in Scotland, with the European team seeking to defend its last-gasp triumph at Medinah Country Club. In this unique session, host broadcasters and key facilities suppliers will take attendees through the plan for the biggest-and-best coverage of golf’s gold standard event, broadcast to 183 countries worldwide via a network of 43 broadcasters reaching more than half a billion homes on each day of the eagerly-anticipated competition.

Moderator and Sports Video Group editorial director Ken Kerschbaumer will be joined by European Tour Productions’ head of production, Tony Coxon, and Sky Sports’ director of operations, Keith Lane.
