SVGE Sport Production Summit: Doneux, Wildemann sign up for World Cup second screen session

SVG Europe has confirmed more senior production and engineering personnel to take part in September’s Sport Production Summit, title sponsor of which is Tata Communications. They include EVS EVP sports Luc Doneux and FIFA TV manager sales and distribution Stefan-Eric Wildemann, who will participate in a session on the recent World Cup coverage and its second screen offshoots.

Questions to be addressed by the panel will include: how did Host Broadcast Services and MLR broadcasters approach live streaming, VOD, multi-angle clip services and stats integration from Rio for FIFA World Cup 2014? What kind of cloud coverage was in place, and how was social media integration supported for MLRs?

There will also be consideration of how vendors responded by making ‘create once, publish many’ workflows transparent for production teams.

This 360-case study, to be chaired by Sports Video Group editorial director Ken Kerschbaumer, will illuminate the latest developments in this compelling and critically important area from FIFA World Cup 2014.
