Cloud and video over IP specialists Techex have joined SVG Europe as a Gold sponsor.
The company’s solutions include the tx Darwin. Designed for next-generation software-defined hybrid and pure cloud workflows, tx Darwin is said to offer a highly secure and ultra-flexible live media processing, transport & monitoring platform for deployment anywhere within a contribution & delivery chain. It was built as part of Techex’s aim to bridge the gap between the rigorous standards of traditional broadcast and the agility of cloud native infrastructure.
New to the tx darwin platform this year, is individual SCTE manipulation at scale. SCTE 35 & 104 manipulation is in use extensively in broadcast and streaming, but managing this at scale whilst also maintaining granular control of different channels is not available outside of tx darwin in a modular fashion which allows for a flexible best-of-breed workflow.
In addition, tx edge is a software gateway providing protection and monitoring for broadcast content between facilities, ingress to and egress from the cloud, and between other software transformation processes.
The company has recently expanded into the US with the appointment of Per Johansson (pictured) as head of sales, Americas to accelerate the organisation’s growth outside of Europe. The move follows the addition of a number of new customers in the US for the company.
