Tell is proud to announce a year-long partnership, the first of its kind, with the UK National Student Television Association (NaSTA).

Reinforcing Tell’s commitment to nurturing and providing opportunities for young talent in the broadcast and production industry, this is the first time NaSTA has formed a long-term deal which extends beyond their annual awards.

The partnership, which runs from March 2025 to March 2026, is focussed around support and opportunity, comprising various activation points such as expert advice, thought leadership, development opportunities, work experience and support, both for aspiring media professionals and NaSTA itself, which is mainly run by students.

The partnership will kick off at the 2025 National Student Television Awards and Conference, which takes place from 4 to 6 April in Southampton, UK, where Tell will sponsor the Broadcaster of the Year and Sport awards. Managing director for the UK, Jack Nicklin, will also join the judging panel for the former, which is the main award of the evening.

Nicklin said of the partnership: “Giving back to our industry and community is important to us and forms part of our guiding principles. The aim of the partnership is to help NaSTA bridge the gap between education and professional media careers, giving young talent a headstart to break into this competitive industry.”

“Our industry thrives on new perspectives, innovation and voices, and we believe it’s our responsibility to support the next generation of broadcasters,” added Tom Ellis, CEO at Tell.

The agreement also includes work placements, shadowing opportunities and the prospect of a dedicated student event hosted by NaSTA in collaboration with Tell.

Throughout the year, students will benefit from expert mentorship, gifted production resources, and networking opportunities, giving them invaluable insights into the ever-evolving media landscape. Nicklin will also attend key NaSTA strategic meetings bringing his extensive experience to the table.

NaSTA Chair, Sophia Crothall, commented: “The support from Tell is a gamechanger for student broadcasters. They came to us with a new approach and fresh ideas which are based on a genuine dedication to our members and our cause, making this partnership truly groundbreaking.”

Tell Media’s sponsorship highlights its commitment to fostering the creative potential of young broadcasters and strengthening the future of the industry.
