Telos Alliance, which has been involved in some of the most prestigious sports productions in the world – from the Summer and Winter Games to the Motor Racing Network and ESPN broadcasts – has returned as a Bronze sponsor of SVG Europe.

Telos offers a wide variety of solutions to deliver flexible, reliable, high-quality audio for sports broadcasts, including intercoms, processors, encoding/decoding and more.

“Over the past year, TV studios’ migration towards the cloud has accelerated out of necessity as at-home workflows became standard. Now, as the world begins to ‘normalise’, REMI productions will pick up, further increasing the demand for cloud-based products,” explained Jayson Tomlin, senior director of marketing at Telos Alliance. “With all these production possibilities, broadcasters are now demanding fully featured intercom in any conceivable workflow – on-prem, site-to-site, cloud-based, or at-home.

“Telos Alliance answers this demand with the new Telos Infinity VIP Virtual Intercom platform, which takes the performance of Telos Infinity and makes it available to users virtually. Suddenly, cloud-based media production workflows are available on any device – smartphone, laptop, desktop, or tablet. Users can even use third-party control devices, like Elgato’s Stream Deck, to control Telos Infinity VIP.”

Also utilised across the sports broadcasting community are Linear Acoustic AERO-series processors for delivering multi-channel digital television audio that assures broadcasters of meeting compliance and regulatory demands, and ARC, a two-channel television processor designed for regions and applications that do not require support for multi-channel, coded audio, but where no-compromise audio quality is valued.

When it comes to next-generation audio, exciting new features include immersive audio, personalisation, dialogue enhancement and more. Linear Acoustic’s offerings in this area include the LA-5300 broadcast audio processor and the LA-5291 professional audio encoder, which delivers a Dolby Atmos experience where Dolby AC-4 is not present.

In addition, Telos Alliance xNodes help form the backbone of a distributed and decentralised Audio over IP routing system. With SDI, AES, analogue and even microphone and GPIO options available, these compact interfaces connect baseband audio devices to a distributed network that routes audio using an existing IT infrastructure.

“At Telos Alliance, we rely on SVG Europe sponsorship to deliver our message and content to the heart of the European sports broadcast production community,” said Jayson Tomlin, senior director of marketing at Telos Alliance. “We’ve found that working with the team at SVG Europe has been consistently great across the board and they are always responsive to our needs and questions.”
