Teranex intros VC400 file converter

Teranex Systems is rolling out its new digital video file converter, the VC400, at IBC. The file capable processor will be presented in its pre- production phase and is built on the strengths of the VC100 to perform in the file domain.

The company says the VC400 provides high-quality processing in IT centric file-based workflows and is designed around powerful proprietary hardware and classic server architecture.

It has the flexibility needed to accommodate the demands of evolving Video and IT infrastructures allowing users to seamlessly move between SDI and digital video files, handling more than 300 formats and frame rates conversions within the most popular digital file formats, using industry standard Rhozet Carbon Coder from Harmonic.

Among its features are Teranex Deinterlacing reducing jaggies on interlaced source material; 3:2 insert and removal to easily move between film & video based material; cadence detection and correction that detects film or video based material; scene cut detection to prevents the creation of  blended frames; and more.
