The Switch goes for Gold again with SVG Europe to continue to get in front of top sports broadcasters

Gold Sponsor of SVG Europe, The Switch, has renewed its commitment to the sports broadcast community for another year.

The Switch’s Nicholas Castaneda, senior VP of international sales, commented: “The Switch is pleased to renew our Gold Sponsorship of SVG Europe for another year, putting us at the forefront of the European sports broadcast arena.

“With topics such as over the top (OTT) and remote production being the hottest trends for 2019, we are able, in partnership with SVG Europe, to get in front of the top broadcasters in sports in this region, to show them what we can do for them in these increasingly important areas,” noted Castaneda.

At NAB last month, The Switch launched its latest digital media delivery service offering, The Switch Digital Connect. The Switch Digital Connect extends The Switch’s footprint and its continually expanding service offerings to allow customers to seamlessly and simultaneously deliver live events to linear, digital, social, and over the top (OTT) networks around the world.

The company also recently announced industry veteran Eric Cooney as president and chief executive officer. As CEO, Cooney will be focused on accelerated growth through product innovation, both organically and with targeted mergers and acquisitions.
