The World Games, which begins in Chengdu, China, on 7 August, was on the agenda at the Sport Production Innovation Summit in June. Ursula Romero, Greg Breakell and Sofia Zhuang from host broadcaster International Sports Broadcasting (ISB) shared details of preparations for the 12th edition of the games, including its bold production plans. This involves going live on almost all of the 34 sports across 27 venues in the city, rather than focusing on semi-finals and finals as has been the case with previous events. The launch of a new OTT platform, The World Games Live, was also discussed.
