TNT Sports and Eurosport ready for over 200 live hours of sport this coming weekend

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is set to broadcast over 200 hours of live action sport across TNT Sports, Eurosport and discovery+ this weekend. Events will feature the finest athletes from some of the highest-profile global competitions as titles are won, champions crowned, and history is made.

On Saturday 18 May, TNT Sports Box Office and discovery+ will air the weekend’s headline act dubbed ‘The Ring of Fire’, which will see Britain’s Tyson Fury and Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk face off for the first undisputed world heavyweight title fight since 1999, live from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Usyk remains unbeaten in his professional career with Fury the current WBC heavyweight champion of the world. The pair were due to meet in February but a sparring injury forced Fury to postpone the fight.

Becky Ives will present the action, joined by Lennox Lewis, the last heavyweight boxer to be the undisputed champion of the world. Carl Frampton, a two-time world champion in two weight classes – IBF Super-bantamweight and WBA super-featherweight – will also deliver expert analysis throughout the night.

Lewis said: “The bigger guy always has the advantage. I think it’s a good time for Tyson. Everyone can see the shape he’s in, and he’s taking it a lot more seriously than the Ngannou fight, and so he should.”

On Sunday 19 May on TNT Sports 1, TNT Sports Ultimate and discovery+, the season-ending clash between Arsenal and Everton will air. After falling short last season, the Gunners head into the final weekend sitting two points behind current champions Manchester City. Arsenal must take claim all three points to give themselves a chance of winning the Premier League.

Martin Keown, a member of Arsenal’s 2003-04 ‘Invincibles’ team, and Rio Ferdinand, himself a four-time Premier League winner with Manchester United, will offer expert analysis alongside presenter Lynsey Hipgrave

On 17 to 19 May, TNT Sports and discovery+ will broadcast all five weekend Premiership Rugby matches live ensuring every moment is captured as it happens. Northampton Saints and Saracens have both secured their semi-final places, however five clubs will be fighting for the final two spots as the Premiership Rugby regular season reaches its climax. Bath and Sale are the favourites, but Harlequins, Exeter and Bristol are not out of the running and could all progress to the semi-finals.

Austin Healey and Brian O’Driscoll will be at Allianz Park as Saracens host Sale on TNT Sports 1 with David Flatman joined by England 2003 World Cup winner Lawrence Dallaglio at the Twickenham Stoop for the crunch fixture as Bristol make the trip to Harlequins.

Further to the men’s competition, the Premiership Women’s Rugby is also live this weekend with action from Exeter Chiefs verses Saracens (Sunday 19 May, on TNT Sports 2 and discovery+.)
