TranSPORT Forum 2025: First speakers revealed for London event on 17 July

Speakers from Orange and WRC Promoter are among the first to be announced for the TranSPORT Forum 2025, sponsored by Haivision, taking place at Kings Place in London on the afternoon of 17 July.

Bernhard Hafenscher, strategic project coordination, WRC Promoter; Jamie Beard, founder, ShootEditSend; and Steve MacMurray, digital media development manager, Globecast, will take part in a discussion exploring the impact of low earth orbit satellites on live sports and connectivity solutions, from enhancing live coverage reliability to enabling on-demand, book-like ordering of satellite services.

In addition, Nicolas Deal, Orange Events, chief technical architect (pictured), will be part of a panel of broadcasters and industry experts exploring the current state and future of live sports transmission, including the impact of emerging technologies. Expect discussion around AI, IP, 5G, the use of public and private cloud and the role of data centres, the shift to opex, 4K/HDR, and more.

Other sessions will include a look at IP transmission and the future of distribution, and a discussion around the latest advances and best practices in transmission and connectivity enabling seamless remote productions in live sports coverage. More speakers will be announced soon.
