Travelxp 4K goes on air in Europe with BBright playout solution

BBright, a leading solution provider for Ultra HD deployments, has announced that Travelxp, the pioneering 4K HDR (HLG) content provider, has commercially launched its 4K HDR services over satellite in Europe using BBright UHD-TS playout.

Travelxp 4K, a venture of Media Worldwide Limited, London, features hundreds of ‘best of breed’ travel programmes from all over the world. After several months of tests and trials, Travel XP 4K is now on air over Europe on Eutelsat – HOTBIRD. Thanks to advanced software and GUI architecture, BBright UHD-TS playout solution is physically located in France, but the playout is directly operated by Travelxp Team.

Travelxp manages remotely the Ultra HD playout operation from pre-encoded HEVC transport stream files, to content ingest, channel schedule management and traffic file ingest into the BBright playout server.
