TV2 Norway to use Monterosa LViS for Premiership coverage and more

Second-screen platform provider Monterosa has announced the first European broadcaster annual licence for its pioneering LViS Studio platform, which allows producers and advertises to create and monetise second-screen apps across devices and social platforms, then integrate them quickly with TV graphics.

Norway’s largest commercial broadcaster, TV2, has signed the 12-month licence deal with Monterosa that will see LViS Studio deployed across a range of shows from entertainment to sports.

LViS Studio will be used to power sponsored interactions such as Man of The Match for Premiership Football, play-along games for game-shows, and was first piloted to enhance TV2’s coverage of the 2013 Women’s World Handball Championship in December. An integral part of the platform licence is LViS Competitions, which allows the owner to offer brands the opportunity to give away products to audiences and to capture opt-in data.

Tom McDonnell, Monterosa’s CEO, says: “TV2 is among the most forward-thinking broadcasters in global broadcast technology, investing in leaders such as VizRT and now LViS. We’re proud to be working to enhance their TV proposition for both audiences and advertisers.”
