SC Freiburg take on Aston Villa FC in the UEFA Europa League Final on Wednesday night (20 May) at Beşiktaş Park in Istanbul, Türkiye.
UEFA have appointed TRT Türkiye as the host broadcaster, with Mehmet Ali Polat the TV match director for the Final.
The Final will be produced in 1080p50-HDR HLG colour space. Feeds will be available in 1080p50-HDR and 1080p50-SDR including Dolby surround sound and Dolby Atmos immersive audio for both feeds.
The delivery of the 1080p50-SDR feed will be achieved using LUT (NBCU) colour mapping from the 1080p50-HDR feed. All vision control and colour matching will be done as for a HDR delivery.
UEFA has allocated a range of unilateral broadcast facilities, including 87 TV, radio and social media commentary desks, three tribune presentation platform positions, 22 pitch presentation positions, 10 flash interview positions and five super flash positions. There will also be 28 unilateral camera positions and 23 social media cameras, plus three unilateral broadcast partner offices.
In addition, UEFA is providing 3,660m2 of broadcast compound space, with 60km of fibre optical pulled by UEFA to deliver services to broadcast partners.
An official film will be captured on-site and delivered via the UEFA Hive platform.
Camera plan
The 34 host broadcast camera plan for the Final includes an aerial camera system, a drone, eight super-slow motion and two hi-speed cameras, an external beauty shot, two crane cameras and two pole-cams.
