With Switzerland hosting one of the most important sporting events of the summer – the Women’s Euro 2025 – Spanish rights holder RVTE is going all-out to make sure Spanish fans see every moment of the action.

In the Group B stage match on 8 July between Spain and Belgium, the Spanish women’s national team led the way with a 6-2 win over Belgium, securing Spain a spot in the quarterfinals of the Women’s Euro. The match was watched by 1,368,000 viewers in Spain, marking an 18% share for RTVE.

RTVE is providing a special focus on the Spanish national team, which is aiming for its third major title after the 2023 World Cup and the 2022 UEFA Nations League, and after missing out on a medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Channel La 1 will broadcast the Spanish national team’s matches live, while Teledeporte will offer the remaining matches. All matches can also be followed on RTVE Play.

Sixteen teams will compete for the European title. Montse Tomé – the head coach of the Spain women’s national football team – is bringing her squad through the competition.

Alicia Arévalo is the commentator for the Spanish national team matches for RTVE’s La 1. Joining her in Switzerland are former international players Vero Boquete and Marta Corredera. Roberto Quintana is providing on-field interviews and is also responsible for reporting all Spanish national team news on the newscasts from Spain’s base camp in Lausanne. Lara Gandarillas is presenting Spain’s matches on-site and is the sports anchor for Telediario 2 from Bern.

The remaining matches of the 2025 Women’s Euro Cup can be followed on Teledeporte, with a team of commentators consisting of Paco Caro, Víctor García, Pedro San Miguel, Paco Grande, and Juan Carlos Llorente. The commentators joining them include two former international players, Amanda Sampedro and Virginia Torrecilla; Javier Sánchez Vera, former Real Sociedad manager; and Fermín Suárez. Mercedes González and Frank Robert are the interviewers.

Every night, after the 9:00pm matches, around 10:50pm on Teledeporte, RTVE is presenting the recap programme titled, ‘Estudio Estadio Eurocopa’ with Lourdes García Campos from Madrid, and Lara Gandarillas and Paco Caro from Bern, a comprehensive programme featuring Álex Argelés as editor from Switzerland.

Fans can watch the European Championship from any device on RTVE Play and RTVE.es. RTVE Play and RTVE.es will be the best option for watching the Euro Cup on any device: live broadcasts of matches and compilations of the best moments; statements, news and analysis; as well as dedicated material for the website and social media generated by Diego Tomé, the website’s special correspondent in Switzerland.

RTVE’s social media channels are keeping users connected to the Euro Cup with Teledeporte accounts on Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook.

Meanwhile, radio station RNE is closely monitoring the Spanish national team’s progress in the European competition with special editions of ‘Tablero Deportivo’ on match days, and daily information on ‘Radiogaceta de los Deportes’ and the public broadcaster’s news services.

Fernando Cardenal is calling the matches, with Sara Gutiérrez providing commentary and analysis from Patricia Campos. Vero Boquete is analying the match previews and results on ‘Radiogaceta’. All the details and information on the national team are provided by Sara Gutiérrez, who is with the Spanish players at the training camp to follow the daily work of the team, captained by Alexia Putellas.

The Spanish team is in Group B, along with Portugal, Belgium, and Italy. If they advance to the next round, either as first or second-place finishers, they will face Group A in the quarterfinals, which includes Switzerland, the host nation, Norway, Iceland, and Finland. Group C includes Germany, Denmark, Poland, and Sweden; while France, England, Wales, and the Netherlands will play in Group D.
