UEFA’s Craig Hepburn joins SVG-led session at MEI Federations Summit

SVG Europe is very pleased to announce that UEFA head of digital transformation Craig Hepburn will join a one-hour discussion hosted by SVG editorial executive director Ken Kerschbaumer at the International Federations Summit (IFS) in Lausanne on 13 February.

SVG is collaborating with Major Events International (MEI) for IFS, which will be held at the Movenpick Hotel. The SVG-led panel, ‘The Opportunities and Threats Provided by OTT Streaming’, will also feature Chris Wagner, managing director of OTT Advisors. We are pleased to announce that Red Bee Media has agreed to sponsor this session, while Cerberus Tech and TVU Networks are taking Table Top sponsorships at the event.

Federations and associations confirmed to attend the Summit include World Archery, World Sailing, (FIH) Hockey, (FIBA) Basketball, (FIVB) Volleyball, F1, World Athletics, UEFA, Association of Event Hosts, Association of Olympic Cities, (FIS) Skiing, (ITU) International Triathlon, (WSF) Squash, (ITTF) Table Tennis, (FISA) Rowing, (ICF) Canoe, (UIPM) Modern Pentathlon, (ISU) Skating, (IJF) Judo, (FITEQ) Teqball, World Athletics, Rugby Europe, UK Sport, (FINA) Aquatica and (WCBS) World Confederation of Billiard Sports.

In addition, ITN Productions has signed on as a sponsor of the International Federations Summit, which is designed to support knowledge transfer and best practices among international federations in order to mitigate future risk, minimise cost and maximise fan engagement.

Discussing ITN Productions’ decision to support the event, director of sport Alastair Waddington said: “Our work in traditional and digital sports production is constantly evolving to keep pace with technological change and the demands of fans and rights holders. The IFS gives us a chance to show-case our cutting-edge partnership with World Athletics and to engage with other Federations who will value the way we can help them present their sport.”

MEI hosts the Summit and COO Andy Rice added: “We are delighted to welcome ITN Productions to our sponsorship family. There is no doubt that their experience in broadcast innovation will contribute to the debate and add to delegate value. They complement our new relationship with Sports Video Group which will help broaden the agenda away from event planning and operations to changes in production, fan engagement, OTT and digital marketing.”
