Video interview: Evertz’s Mo Goyal discusses VAR at Football Summit 2019

In the first of a number of video interviews conducted at SVG Europe’s Football Summit 2019 in Paris, Joe Hosken of SVG Europe and Mo Goyal, senior director of international business development at Evertz, discuss the evolution and use of technology for the video assistant referee (VAR).

“There are still some growing pains. The challenge is how to communicate to the audience that VAR is a tool to help us be more accurate with the results but it isn’t going to be final – we still have the human factor in there.”
