Vision Charity plans London – IBC bike ride

UK: With the aim of raising over €100k for the Vision Charity (which helps support blind and visually impaired children throughout the UK), 14 cyclists drawn from around the industry will depart  the offices of IBC in London on 3 September with the aim of arriving at the RAI in Amsterdam within an impressive 24 hours.

The 24 hour / 500km cycle challenge was founded by Ciaran Doran of Harris and the team is comprised of serious – not to mention slightly unhinged – cyclists from Harris Corporation, IBC, NEC – Visions, Audio Network, Red Bee and IBE magazine.

Doran commented: “Bringing the industry behind this event and behind the Vision Charity with its strong and historical ties to our business is a great opportunity to support others in need.”

Bill Vestey, Vision Charity Chairman added: “We are delighted to have such great support from the broadcasting industry which is a significant part of Vision’s heritage.  The initiative will help raise funds that will create brilliant opportunities for blind and visually children to integrate fully into society which is our core goal.”
