Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has secured the exclusive UK live broadcast and digital media rights for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
WBD’s TNT Sports will bring live coverage to viewers via a dedicated linear channel in the UK and Ireland. More than 600 hours of live coverage will be offered to fans with every sport and event streaming on HBO Max in the UK following the platform’s launch in March 2026.
Commonwealth Sport said that details of free-to-air coverage and production plans of the 11-day competition that will combine 10 sports and 6 Para sports will be confirmed in due course.

The decision to award the UK and Europe live broadcast rights to Warner Bros. Discovery’s pay-TV channels and platforms “reflects its rich storytelling history as the Home of the Olympic Games, and the bold ambition of the Commonwealth Games”, Commonwealth Sport said.

HBO Max will launch in the UK and Ireland in March 2026 where it will become the new streaming home of TNT Sports, replacing discovery+. Across Europe, HBO Max is the streaming home of Eurosport.

Commonwealth Sport said that the partnership builds on recent broadcast deals secured by the organisation. In July 2025, Sky New Zealand was confirmed as the exclusive media partner for the 2026 Games across TV, streaming and radio, delivering coverage to New Zealanders and Pacific Islanders. Meanwhile, in April 2025, the Seven Network reaffirmed its long-standing commitment by securing exclusive Australian broadcast rights for both Glasgow 2026 and Amdavad 2030.
The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will take place 23 July and 2 August
