SVG Europe Women’s Elevating Women in Sport event took place in person at Sky Central in West London last week. You can now watch a recording of the sessions on demand. Held in association with Sky Sports, the event delved into the issues around representation both on and off the camera.

Hear former professional racing driver turned Sky Sports presenter Naomi Schiff in conversation with Heather McLean, SVG Europe editor and head of SVG Europe Women. This wide ranging and fascinating discussion explores representation as well as Schiff’s own career path and the challenges and triumphs she has faced along the way.

In addition, The FA’s head of the women’s professional game Kelly Simmons, Sky Sports executive producer Jo Osbourne, and Steph Harries, managing director of the Women’s Sports Group debate how to maximise the growth of the women’s game. Topics covered include how European broadcasters approach their women’s sports rights, how much is dictated by the men’s game, and how to engage female fans.
