Watch: FIFA’s Oscar Sanchez and Paul King from HBS preview FIFA World Cup 2026 host broadcast plans

With just a month to go until the FIFA World Cup 2026 kicks off, Oscar Sanchez, FIFA head of host broadcast production, and Paul King, HBS senior producer, FIFA World Cup 2026, speak to SVG’s Ken Kerschbaumer about host broadcast production plans for the tournament, which will span 16 host cities and 104 matches across the US, Canada, and Mexico.

The pair share insights on: production strategies; workflows and innovations; the thinking behind the IBC and managing multi-venue coordination; referee cams; match directing; quality control; and how the FIFA team plans to overcome logistical and technical challenges at an unprecedented scale on the biggest men’s World Cup ever. The session is introduced by Rock-It Sports.

The session was part of Football Summit 2026, sponsored by TVU Networks, which took place at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool on 26th of February.
