Whisper bowled over by Tellyo for enhanced highlights and live match clips for England and Wales Cricket Board

Tellyo’s long-standing relationship with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has continued as Whisper announced it has selected the Tellyo Pro Platform to create real-time clips and highlights of the Test series between England and the West Indies, and deliver them live to all ECB platforms.

As part of its contract with the ECB, Whisper has been appointed to produce real time in-game clips and highlights packages for fans to view across the various ECB digital platforms. As sport continues without fans present at games, these platforms are even more important for fans and ECB alike as a premium destination, where fans can also access interactive scorecards and keep up-to-date with all the action.

Using the Tellyo Pro Platform, Whisper’s digital production team access and edit the live incoming match streams and then post to all digital and social channels simultaneously, in real time, and as the action unfolds; catching live each wicket as they fall and each 4’s/6’s as they ae struck.

Whisper’s team is also able to create compilations for specific players, summaries for each period or day’s play, bring together live action, with archive and gallery content and publish those highlights to all destinations simultaneously.

Speed is not the only critical benefit of choosing Tellyo, said Whisper. Tellyo’s integration with Adobe is crucial to Whisper and delivers unprecedented editorial control, with three producers on Adobe Premiere Pro stations directly linked to Tellyo Pro, it’s gallery and its automated content creation functions.

Tellyo’s integration with Opta’s live metadata was a huge advantage in its being chosen by Whisper because it enabled the production company’s team members to speed up production.

The integration simplified the editing process to increase the amount of content they created and published.  Built in Tellyo Pro, the auto clip to post feature sync’d the Opta data and the live match feed. The end result was the automatic and instant creation and posting of single clips to the ECB website and Twitter.

Whisper will be using Tellyo on the cricket throughout the summer, as it has been appointed to deliver a range of online highlights and clips for the ECB throughout 2020. This includes all Tests, ODIs and T20 internationals across both men and women’s international teams.
