The World Karate Federation (WKF) has formed a strategic partnership with AI-powered media asset management platform ScorePlay to transform its digital content infrastructure.
The partnership addresses critical modernisation needs as the WKF transitions to a cutting-edge, cloud-based solution. This digital transformation will centralise content operations while enabling seamless distribution to national federations, athletes, broadcasters and sponsors worldwide.
WKF president Antonio Espinós said: “The agreement of the WKF with ScorePlay marks an important step forward in our commitment to innovation and efficiency in the way we present our sport to the world. As part of our core communication strategy, the WKF has consistently sought to modernise its structures and strengthen the visibility of karate on a global scale. By adopting advanced technologies such as ScorePlay, we are ensuring that the WKF continues to evolve while safeguarding the values and traditions that define our discipline. At a time when the WKF is intensifying its efforts to return karate to the sport programme of the Olympic Games, this collaboration becomes a key pillar in demonstrating both the relevance and the dynamism of our sport.”
The implementation of ScorePlay’s platform will deliver comprehensive benefits across the WKF ecosystem, from an AI-powered centralised content hub with all short-form video and photography content, dramatically reducing manual work while improving content discoverability through speech-to-text tagging and intelligent categorisation. Karate stakeholders around the globe will gain direct access to WKF content through dedicated portals, enabling faster content sharing and improved collaboration across the karate community, as well as enhanced sponsor integration for commercial partners.
Victorien Tixier, ScorePlay co-founder and CEO, added: “The World Karate Federation’s commitment to digital modernisation aligns perfectly with ScorePlay’s mission to transform sports content management. This sets new standards for how martial arts content is managed globally.”
The partnership launches immediately, with the platform being rolled out across the WKF’s global network and integrated into major karate competitions and events.
