WOW has launched a new offer for young adults: WOW Live-Sport Young, which enables all 18- to 26-year-olds to receive the WOW Live Sports subscription at discounted conditions. The move is a reaction to the growing price sensitivity of younger target groups and brings a special offer in sports streaming specially tailored to young sports fans.
Offers especially for young target groups are established in many industries – such as mobile telephony or banking. With the U27 offer, WOW takes up this approach and transfers it to the streaming market for live sports for the first time.
The WOW Live Sport subscription is now available in the U27 offer for €24.99 per month with a term of 12 months (regularly 29.99 euros). After the minimum contract period has expired, the subscription will be transferred to a monthly cancellable model at the regular price of €44.99. Alternatively, an annual subscription can be taken out again.
Jill Harkness, vice president commercial at Sky Germany: “We see that especially younger target groups very consciously decide what content they pay for. With the U27 offer, we are taking a first step to make access to our live sports offer more attractive for them and to address new target groups.
Included in the WOW live sports subscription are, among other things, all Friday and Saturday games of the Bundesliga exclusively in full length, all Bundesliga games on Sunday shortly after the final whistle in full length, all games of the 2. Bundesliga, the DFB Cup and the Premier League, all races of Formula 1 and MotoGP, regular top matches of the NHL and NBA as well as the best of tennis and golf.
The age verification is carried out by an external service provider. After successful verification, users receive a code that can be redeemed during the ordering process.
