Yemen TODAY gets Utah Scientific router for SNG

Privately-owned broadcaster Yemen TODAY has purchased a UTAH-100 HD compact router for its satellite newsgathering (SNG) truck. The truck was commissioned from Istanbul-based manufacturer and system integrator PALS – one of the few companies in the region to deliver SNG vehicles that are certified to meet the ASBU-MENOS OpenDSNG standard.

This capability enables the vehicles to be used in the MENOS network operated by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) on Arabsat satellite capacity.

Fikret Güzel from PALS comments: “Reliability is key in a truck that operates in this area of the world. The Utah Scientific router fits well with our approach of delivering high quality and reliability at a good price.”

Reto Brader, Utah Scientific general manager for EMEA, adds: “We’re happy to be able to add value to Yemen TODAY’s offering with our products that by themselves are known for the highest quality, reliability, and affordability. To be selected by PALS as the supplier for video routers for their SNG vehicles is not only an honour, but also a good fit.”
