Primestream to demo new tech, workflow integrations

Primestream plans to showcase new modules, features, technological improvements, and integration with third party broadcast workflows at IBC 2013. FORK 4.5 is now more powerful, extendable, and adaptable at managing large-scale and multi-site installations. New Workflow Manager 1.0 enables administrators to design, build and automate broadcast processes across multiple departments, groups and users. DIG-IT 1.0 monitors multiple servers, applications, file-system performance, and usage from anywhere, in a single interface. Also new is Xchange Suite 2.5 the Web and iOS portal into FORK for cloud asset management.

Primestream will be demonstrating workflow integrations with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro – archiving integrations with Quantum, Atempo – and playout integrations with Harmonic MediaGrid and Cisco Unified Computing Servers (UCS) at IBC 2013.

Workflow Manager 1.0
New to FORK 4.5 is Workflow Manager, a real-time task management and quality control (QC) tool for production workflows of all kinds. Also new to FORK 4.5 is “edit-while-capture” workflow integrations for Media Composer, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro. Underlying technology such as FORK Drones, dynamic metadata forms, and advanced FORK scripts enable FORK 4.5 to manage larger installations more efficiently than ever.

Xchange Suite 2.5
FORK Xchange Suite v2.5, the latest version of its companion application that gives broadcast, entertainment, government, and corporate markets instant access to content residing in their FORK Production Servers – from any HTML5 supported Web browser or Apple iPad device. Xchange for iPad v1.0 is a native iOS application that allows content creators to browse, create annotations, edit metadata and video while disconnected from their production environments. When connectivity is restored, modifications are synchronized directly to the original assets in the production environment.

FORK Logger v1.0
FORK Logger 1.0′s user-friendly interface can be configured in an unlimited number of ways so users can enter data specific to the kind of programming they are producing such as multiple sports, reality shows, political debates, and news. Logged content becomes metadata-enriched sub-clips with markers inside Content Navigator (FORK’s Media Asset Management Tool), where it can be quickly searched, edited and ready for an on-air highlight or teaser. Logger supports multiple themes and layouts while being tightly integrated with popular craft editors and the cuts-only FORK Editor. FORK Live Assist, Playout and Social modules can each output finished media to be distributed everywhere – all from within the same ecosystem.

Dig-IT
Dig-IT is a server-based software application for broadcast, government, entertainment, and corporate IT departments that enables engineers and system administrators with the capability to monitor their broadcast IT operations from anywhere. The application monitors hardware and software applications including the FORK Production Suite — within single and multiple IT facilities, making it easy for IT administrators to manage any kind of broadcast-related IT activity. Dig-IT is designed to work seamlessly within a FORK environment or as a stand-alone solution in multiple applications.

Media Asset Management and Production Automation
Content Navigator is at the core of FORK’s extensive Media Asset Management (MAM) capabilities. With the use of “smart folders,” any metadata field is dynamically transformed into a property that can filter, sort, and manage content. The metadata driven workflow module provides a powerful automated management system that puts content at the user’s fingertips wherever it is needed in the production process.
